What are the types of Registers ?

  • Integer, Word, Real, Double Integer, Double Word.
  1. Integer:
It is the 16 bit register. It stores from (-ve) to (+ve) values.
  2. Word:
It is the 16 bit register. It stores from 0 to (+ve) values.
  3. Real:
It is the 32 bit register. It stores from (-ve) to (+ve) values and floating values.
  4. Double Integer:
It is the 32 bit register. It stores from (-ve) to (+ve) values.
  5. Double Word:
It is the 32 bit register. It stores from 0 to (+ve) values.

What is Registers ?

  • It is a combination of bits (or) flipflops (depends upon usage).
  • It stores the analog values.
  • It will accept new values at run time also.

What is the Difference between OLR (Over Load Relay) and MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) ?

  • The OLR and MCB both are depends upon the current range.
  • But why we are choosing both devices for single machine ?
  • For Example : MCB have the 70 Amps (rated) 90 Amps (MCB) means at a time of 90 Amps only it will trip. But heat is increased and machine get damaged.
  • But in OLR coil  strip will cut at a time of more heat. So, No need for current range.

What are the types of Relay ?

  1. OLR (Over Load Relay)
  2. OCR (Over Current Relay)
  3. OVR (Over Voltage Relay)
  4. Mercury Relay
  5. Polarized Relay
  6. Solid State Relay
  7. M/C tool Relay
  8. Reed Relay
  9. Latching Relay
  10. Bucholz Relay etc.,

What are the Maximum withstand KW range for all circuit breakers ?

  • MCB - Miniature Circuit Breaker can withstand <250 KW.
  • MCCB - Moulded  Case Circuit Breaker can withstand 250 to 500 KW.
  • RCCB - Residual Current Circuit Breaker can withstand 500 to 1000 KW.
  • ELCB - Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker can withstand 1000 to 5000 KW.
For above 5000 KW the following Circuit Breakers are used depends upon the Applications,
  • ACB - Air Circuit Breaker (>5000 KW)
  • VCB - Vaccum Circuit Breaker (>5000 KW)
  • OCB - Oil Circuit Breaker (>5000 KW)
  • SF6 CB - Sulfur Hexa Floride Circuit Breaker (>5000 KW)
  • CO2 - Corbandi-oxide Circuit Breaker (>5000 KW)

What are the types of Circuit breakers are used for protect the motor ?

  1. MCB - Miniature Circuit Breaker
  2. MCCB - Moulded  Case Circuit Breaker
  3. RCCB - Residual Current Circuit Breaker
  4. ELCB - Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker
  5. ACB - Air Circuit Breaker
  6. VCB - Vaccum Circuit Breaker
  7. OCB - Oil Circuit Breaker
  8. SF6 CB - Sulfur Hexa Floride Circuit Breaker
  9. CO2 - Corbandi-oxide Circuit Breaker

What is MCCB and what is the purpose of MCCB ?

  • MCCB means Motor Control Circuit Board.
  • The main purpose of MCCB is On/Off the Circuit with some protected setup.

What is Up Down counter ?

  • This is only used for monitering purpose. Because, the properties of up-down counter has both of Up counter and Down counter.
  • So, it is randomly work with both properties.
